Book: IN MY TIME OF DYING

Two of Cape Cod’s most beloved authors (The Perfect Storm and The Deep End of the Ocean) discuss evaluating faith after a near death experience of the award-winning combat journalist, Sebastian Junger. Moderator Jacquelyn Mitchard’s most recent novel A Very Inconvenient Scandal will also be available for signing. Both Sebastian and Jackie sit on the Board of Advisors of the Cape Cod Book Festival.

Moderator: Lois Cahall, author & Founder/Director, Cape Cod Book Festival

Book: BEST POSSIBLE PLACE, WORST POSSIBLE TIME

Director of The Addams Family films, The Men in Black Trilogy, Get Shorty, and many more follows up with this sequel after his first memoir Barry Sonnenfeld, Call Your Mother! This promises to be a laugh-out-loud panel. Barry’s life stories are as out of this world as his Men in Black films.

Book: THE MOVEMENT: How Women’s Liberation Transformed America 1963-1973

C’mon ladies and bring your girlfriends! This is YOUR panel. A comprehensive and engaging oral history of the decade that defined the feminist movement from former Newsweek reporter and author of the “powerful and moving” (New York Times) Witness to the Revolution. Moderator Leigh Haber spent the past ten years as Oprah Winfrey’s Book Club editor and is now CEO of her own Leigh Haber Literary. She sits on the Advisory Board of the Cape Cod Book Festival.

Jeffrey Toobin  and Garrett M. Graff – in conversation.

Books: Toobin’s best-selling works will be available including Homegrown; True Crimes & Misdemeanors; The Run of His Life: The People v. OJ Simpson (which became a Golden Globe series on Fx). In addition, (forthcoming) The Pardon (February 2025). Graff: WHEN THE SEA CAME ALIVE: An Oral History of D-Day; Watergate; UFO: The Inside Story of the US Government’s Search for Alien Life Here – And Out There

The two award-winning, NYT Best-selling authors will talk politics, Presidential pardons, Watergate, World War Veterans, O. J. Simpson and even UFO’s! Or in other words, everything but the political kitchen sink!

Books: JFK JR. and ONCE UPON A TIME (Carolyn Bessette) – 2 biographies

A tribute of the 25 year anniversary of the passing of Cape Cod’s beloved Hyannisport Prince, John F Kennedy, Jr., and his wife, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. We will begin the panel with a 3 minute slide show set to music from a time that was the last of Camelot 1999. Our moderator Alisyn Camerota, is an award winning journalist and author. Her memoir Combat Love will also be available.

3:30pm – 4:30pm, BOOK OF THE YEAR

Moderator: Dr. Imani Perry

SOUTH TO AMERICA: Dr. Imani Perry

Dr. Perry, multi award-winning author and Advisor on the Cape Cod Book Festival Board will be in conversation with Don Lemon, our BOOK OF THE YEAR, in a deeply personal follow-up to his #1 best-seller This is the Fire: What I Say to My Friends about Racism, a modern iconoclast faces a test of faith – and reveals how such tribulations can make us stronger as individuals and as a nation.
