Find the ‘Best Writer in Cape Cod” Contest

Do you think you have what it takes to land a New York literary agent, lock in a publisher, and be a New York Times best-seller?

Contest rules:

• Must be 18 years or older and a full-time resident of Cape Cod
• Two categories. Fiction and non-fiction – one winner from each category.
• Must not be previously published, self-published, in any format.
• Contest begins June 21, 2025  –  Contest closes Labor Day weekend

• Email us up to 10 pages of your manuscript to: info@capecodbookfestival
• Include your full name, email and phone number on a cover/title page and which category – fiction or non-fiction.

PLEASE NOTE WE ARE NOT EDITORS.    OUR JUDGES ARE PROFESSIONAL WRITERS, AGENTS AND PUBLISHERS.  WE DO NOT CRITIQUE YOUR WORK.  WE WILL NOT BE PROVIDING FEEDBACK TO THE SUBMITTED MATERIAL UNLESS YOU ARE A FINALIST.

Winners will be announced in October, 2025 on social media outlets, and, by personal phone call.  Winners will receive two VIP passes to our next festival event as well as have their work considered by a top New York City literary agent.
